Welcome to Bud & Tudy Smith's Custom Knives and Sheaths. WE SPECIALIZE IN PERIOD STYLE, but we do make some simple hunters so please enjoy touring the whole site. Because only two views of each knife or bag is shown, feel free to email for more pictures to see greater detail if need be. All of the work on our knives is done entirely by us. We make one at a time, by hand. Come back often to view our site as others are added as they are finished. Knife blades are differentually heat treated here at the shop, which means your knife will be shipped very sharp, hold a good edge and be easy to maintain in it's original state. Only high carbon steel is used, you will not find a "shiny" knife here. We use only natural materials, glass, clay and antique beads (NO PLASTICS EVER). All of our natural products are purchased from legal sources. Each sheath is custom made for each knife. Elk rawhide and buckskin usually cover a vegetable tanned leather liner. Beading is hand worked by Ms.Tudy directly onto the leather in tiny glass seed beads that reflect old time colors. However if you see a knife you like but want a different sheath we can usually accomodate that and decorate it to your liking.
